What challenge was the client facing?
Grosvenor Technology came to us confused about how their tracking had been set up on both their UK and US websites.
They had a single Google Ad Account, which was set up on two websites in two different territories, making it difficult to understand where conversions were coming from. They were also not sure about whether their conversions were being fully tracked and did not have the technical capacity in-house to check whether there were any issues.
How did JL Creative solve the problem?
We reviewed their tracking setup on both websites. We started by understanding their conversion goals and clarifying what their tracking was meant to achieve. We followed up by completing a thorough audit of their Google properties, troubleshooting their Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads, and providing a transparent assessment of the status of each.
Once they had received their report, Grosvenor asked us to fix the problems we had identified.
What was the outcome?
We instructed Grosvenor to make two separate Google Ads Accounts for the two websites and used Tag Manager to create a uniform tracking structure across both accounts, using clearly labelled Goals, which we verified were functional by testing them in Google Tag Assistant and Google Analytics.
We also worked with their developers to improve the reliability of their form submission goals, which were previously not validated, and ensure that their website was compliant with Google Consent Mode.
