Net Zero Festival: Complete Guide
What is Net Zero?
Net Zero refers to the balance between the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced and the amount removed from the atmosphere. Achieving net zero means that any emissions released are offset by methods such as carbon capture or renewables like wind and solar energy. JL Creative is amongst the many organisations that are committing to the net zero targets. We work with brands who prioritise sustainability and are responsible for providing net zero solutions. This includes heat pump manufacturers, training centres, and software providers.
What is the Net Zero Festival?
The Net Zero Festival, held annually, is a pivotal event for those committed to addressing climate change. It gathers thought leaders, innovators, and businesses to discuss strategies, technologies, and solutions for achieving net zero. The 2024 festival will feature industry-leading exhibitors showcasing the latest in sustainability and clean energy innovations, as well as keynote speakers and panel discussions on key topics like renewable energy, transportation, environmental policy, and sustainable business practices.
The festival will be held on October 22-23 2024, at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London. The Business Design Centre is now B Corp certified and has recently celebrated 10 years as a carbon-neutral venue.
The Net Zero Festival 2024 is free to attend and you can register on their official website.
As a new addition, they also have the BusinessGreen Intelligence Stage aimed at providing specialised content for sustainability executives and green business leaders and will feature expert discussions on crucial topics. Passes start at £249.
How to get to the Net Zero Festival
The Business Design Centre is easily accessible by public transport. You can reach the venue via several London Underground stations, including Angel (Northern Line), or Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line).
If you're driving, parking may be limited, and we recommend using public transport to reduce your carbon footprint. Free cycle storage at the venue is also available and more information can be found here.
Because of the event location, traffic in the area might be heavy, especially during peak times. It's best to plan ahead and arrive early to avoid delays. Additionally, the venue will offer accessibility options for attendees with disabilities.
Exhibitors and Highlights
As aforementioned, the Net Zero Festival hosts a wide range of exhibitors from sectors like renewable energy, transportation, environmental policy, corporate sustainability, and more. Industry leaders in solar power, wind energy, battery storage, and green finance will showcase their latest advancements, providing insights into how businesses can transition to a greener future.
This year's festival will feature over 100 expert speakers and you can find a full list here. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and connect with industry leaders, learn about the latest innovations, and participate in engaging panel discussions and workshops.
